This tall book of nursery tales is quite charming. I think it contains some of the best tales for children and the illustrations are lovely. After reading some of the previous reviews, I think that some people are confusing true fairy tales with nursery tales; these are mostly nursery tales aimed at younger children and are meant as lessons for life. Someone commented that they were surprised that this book was reprinted since the stories are "pretty antiquated." (I have the original print). I found this amusing since the original printing is 1944, and aren't most fairy tales and nursery tales "antiquated?" It's a lovely book and any child would appreciate having it read to them or reading it themselves.… (mais)
