Wow! What a collection of essays about literacy and African American youth! And, if you serve this cultural segment of our society, then this collection is a must read. So many American children and teens who are struggling readers, find themselves at a computer keyboard doing skill and kill reading tutorials. The eminent set of authors selected by the editors know thee culture; they have researched what works and what doe not.
