A personal account of the aftermath of D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones's call for Evangelicals to come out of mixed denominations at an Evangelical Assembly at the London, Central Hall in 1966. The author paints a clear picture of the situation before DMLJ's call - when Evangelicals were very much in the minority and most theological colleges were liberal/ modernist - and of the trials and tribulations of those who did leave in response to DMLJ.

Much has been written regarding the negative effects of DMLJ's 1966 call, this book looks at the positive effects (even though it clearly wasn't plain sailing for those who did choose to leave their denomination). The book is written largely to vindicate DMLJ's approach.

It's interesting to note that today Evangelicals are very much in the ascendancy of 'mixed' denominations. I wonder how effective such a call would be today? If Evangelicals had mainly left their denominations they would still be in the ascendency in the main denominations today?
