Three worlds collide: female college basketball, garage-rock bands, and intrigue in a college academia department. Holly Winegarten, a 6 ft. 9 inch basketball player encompasses all of these worlds as she attempts to forge her her own path to self-discovery. Part bildungsroman, part satire on the brutal world that professors inhabit, and part literary fest when Holly falls in love with Emily Dickinson's poetry, it was hard to put this book down.

Don't Look at Me is a book about a very tall young woman who discovers some unknown letters and poems by Emily Dickinson while she was working in the rare book archives at her university. People always make nasty comments to her about her height but like her discovery, she has to learn to let go. The story has a beginning, middle and an end. It is a book that would be a perfect candidate for an audio book. Four stars were awarded in this review.

I didn't like this book much. There's no real development of characters, which makes it hard to care about them. The story, what there is of it, is all surface. There's no plot development to speak of.
