An excellent account of the bombing in 2013, at the finish line of The Boston Marathon. Written by 2 Pulitzer-Prize winning journalist, from The Boston Globe.

Their account takes you minute by minute from the start of race to the days/weeks immediately following the attack. They delve into the lives of the victims, the race organizers and the 2 Chechen brothers who orchestrated the attack.

Well written, researched and a book hard to put down once you start reading.

A pretty straight forward, even-handed biography. Obviously the subject matter doesn't lend itself to much intrigue. The one take away, and something that has become obvious throughout the campaign, is that when it comes to policy Romney is, at best, a cipher. None more Vanilla.

Long Mile Home gives what must be the definitive account of the 2013 Boston Marathon in its 216th year. the book is truly riveting. you soon begin to feel you know many of the people involved in the marathon -- participators and, in some cases, their families and friends who supported them, as well as the people who planned the race, charted the course, and the members of the Boston Police Force who were assigned to the marathon. the book is so vividly written that it becomes an almost personal experience for the reader. for me, it was also an emotional experience, and one of the most beautifully books i've ever read in my 60 years of reading adult books.… (mais)

The fight against Islamism began on the streets of Boston. With numerous attacks such as Orlando, Ft. Hood, and San Bernardino, Boston should have become a rallying point against the ideology of hatred. Instead, these personal accounts mostly of the victims of Boston or highlighted and yet America seems unresponsive to continuing Islamist attacks both in America, Europe, and other parts of the world.
