I really enjoyed this memoir. Initially, I was a little put off by all of the non-vineyard, non-wine talk, which is what I was hoping for, but it came around. And the parts talking about the region, the villages, the people, the places....all made it feel like you were a part of his experience. I definitely enjoyed it and it's a quick read.

The author moved to Prince Edward County in 1999 with the aim of establishing a Pinot Noir vineyard. His book is an enjoyable read - a good mix of history, winemaking lore and the writer's experiences (although there is maybe a bit too much about his family life).
