A brief book, one that I received in exchange of an honest review. A brief book, and a brief review. A brief book with a very simple look at what the bible teaches and what it doesn't teach.

The Bible is full of things that people, even Christians don't or won't believe. That the Earth is in a fallen state, not because Eve (and Adam) ate of the apple, but they did eat of the forbidden fruit, the very fruit God told them they should not eat. In this now sinful world, we view some sins as more deviant than others, but God sees all sin the same. Some of us believe that rituals and sacraments must be followed to please God. These things can be important, but none are not what saves you. Our 'genuineness' will allow us to choose what parts of the bible we are allowed to disobey and what parts are not. The entire bible is inspired by God, and man's wisdom is not to correct what God inspired. If you, a believer or not, want to use the bible as part of your argument for or against what you claim that which was written, then be prepared to show where in the Bible your proof resides.

Fifteen chapters, fifteen vignettes, all also where the Holy Spirit has led me in belief, but short in helping with evangelism. How the blood of Christ covers our sins. Why God deemed it necessary for Christ to die (and three days later) and be raised from the dead.

This is a good book when it comes to explaining the basics misconceptions concerning Bible teaching, why some things according to the Bible are acceptable and why other things are not. Reading this review should help you make the determination as to if you should be a consumer of this title, of what it has to say. If you are searching for life's answers, I would recommend Paul Little’s “Know What You Believe”.… (mais)
