A post apocalyptic story of a world where children are separated according to sex and raised in groups by guardians. Some of these children have special abilities that they try to keep secret. Dylan is one such of these children. She is now of the age where she will be tested to find her station in the community. But something goes wrong, Dylan is left in the desert alone to fend for herself. She finally meets some others and together they must survive the desert, unseen ghosts, gargoyles, and militants.
