I won a digital copy of this beautifully done picture book and loved it. This is a picture book for kids, but it's also for anyone who's a mother, knows a mother or family, friends, etc. This has lovely and well-done illustrations with beautiful and well-put sentiments alongside the pictures about Mothers and their love. This is a rather poignant book that can be an emotional read and is a work of art. Now that I've seen and read this, I think I may need to get my own hardcover copy for myself and maybe for my family too. This is definitely a gem for your picture book collection.… (mais)

Quentin Gréban does a wonderful job of showing both the wonderful imagination of children as well as the importance of that special stuffed animal or toy to a child. This is a really sweet book about a little girl and her Woolly Mammoth appropriately named "Woolly". He does everything with her, even wears a tutu in ballet class. The illustrations are wonderful. The interaction between the little girl and Woolly show emotion and a lot of fun. I love how one minute she has to push Woolly in the shopping cart, and on the next page, he is carrying her and the groceries to the car. Of course the ending is exactly as I expected. Woolly is her special friend that everyone else thinks is just a stuffed animal. A great book for young children to see that it is okay to imagine as well as to understand that we all have that special friend. A delightful read.
