This was a short, helpful read that opened my eyes to how prevalent parasites are, even in modern-day America. It was written quite a while ago, so some of the studies were a bit outdated, and I'd be interested in seeing updated statistics, but most of the information is still relevant.

This was a bit hard to rate. On the one hand, there were some assertions in here that seemed like pseudoscience. The lack of real references made it hard to confirm what the source of many of the suggestions in the book were. (There were also a couple of statements that were definitely wrong, such as the one that the best time to get vitamin D is early morning or late afternoon -- most UVB, which gives Vitamin D, comes through at midday.) On the other hand, there are some things in here that do seem to have at least some scientific backing. I also learned some things, which is a bit unusual as I've read a ton of material in this field. On the whole, it's among the better health/longevity books I've read.… (mais)

Good to know information, particularly for women of color, as menopause hits earlier for us, and is not that different from PMS, but with a few more expensive oils and a lot more care of diet, exercise and stress management.

I found Zapped to be very informative, helpful, and very worthwhile, even though it is now almost 10 years old, which is a lifetime in the tech world. Science has only further supported the serious health effects that the constant and ever-increasing bombardment of EMFs create in our lives.

If you think carrying your phone around in your pocket (or bra!) all of the time or letting your young kids sit with it or an iPad regularly is no problem, I feel very sorry for you, and especially for your children because they are getting more cumulative exposure through immature brains and bodies over their lifetimes than you. You will all drain our social services budgets, though, on your way down the sickness spiral.

Consciousness, critical thinking, and awareness are all needed now more than ever, as we all participate in making our world increasingly more toxic by the choices we make in our lives about what we "need", want, demand in our lifestyles. Religious dogma, such as that below--"I don't agree with the author's views in relation to our oneness with the earth and mother nature. The earth was created by God (as were we) and God sustains the earth and causes it to function despite the consequences of the curse (sin.)"--is just another way to ignore reality, unpleasant truths, and personal responsibility. I, too, believe in a Creator of all that we know and beyond, but I would never assume that this gives me a pass on using the brain that I was gifted in order to improve and protect my own life, that of my family, and our shared environment.

I hope that more people will wake up and read books like Zapped, or watch movies like Generation Zapped ASAP. With 5G rolling out now, and 5G satellites soon to be blasted out into space this summer (2019), time is of the essence. All that's in Zapped will seem like child's play because far stronger and more harmful EMFs will be zapping us all from space, no matter where in the world we are or the infrastructure or devices are concentrated. There really will be nowhere to hide. Google "petition against 5G" if you care.
