As a kid, my family spent a lot of time in Panama City Beach, Florida and a few trips to Orlando, FL. I have truly come to love Florida Kitsch, especially roadside attractions in Florida. The best ones though aren't off the interstate, but on the side roads.

It's fun to go through these books and see the places I've been and how much everything has changed over the years.

Just to be clear, this focuses primarily on the people and events associated with the shore, not the natural or historical aspects. There are more pictures of amusements, quirky signs and decorations than of historic Victorian homes. There are a vast collection of color and black-and-white photographs. The shots are very typical of the shore in my experience, not just the scenic, and I was almost overcome with nostalgia. The book also includes interviews with a variety of locals and visitors.
