What a magical and fun-filled read! I absolutely adored this tale of a Conjure Cat and the adventure he goes on to help rescue fairy and elf children from the clutches of an evil troll. From the beautiful cover, to the wonderful illustrations and layout within, this book was a complete pleasure to read. The entire time I was immersed in this story, I couldn't help but think of classics such as The Wizard of Oz or Alice in Wonderland, because this book gave me the feel of a timeless classic. The author did a fantastic job with the characters and the world they inhabit. I love the conjure cats and plan to continue reading of their adventures. If you love fantasy for children of all ages, this is the book for you.

The one thing I can't get over regarding Pat Frayne's Topaz the Conjure Cat series, is how much these books feel like time-honored classics. Ms. Frayne has a way of telling a story that feels like one that's been around entertaining children for decades, rather than having been written within the past couple of years. In "Topaz and the Green Fairies," she continues with another adventure that is magically delightful, and includes all the wondrous characters we've come to know and love from the previous books. If you've been re-reading The Chronicles of Narnia or The Wizard of Oz books over and over, for wont of another series that makes you feel the same way, then look no further and pick up these magnificent books.… (mais)

Available in Kindle and paperback. An award-winning tale about a young Green Fairy who faces terrifying challenges encounters strange beings and has a unique life changing experience when he sails upriver in search of help to rescue his family and folk from their fast-eroding, storm-ravaged island in the great Slewnecky River. Although written for entertainment, there is an emphasis on the value of friendship, loyalty, and courage.

A frightening 300-year-old legend threatens to resurface when Fairy and Elf Children begin to disappear from the peaceful Kingdom of Knownotten. Loyal to the legacy of his breed, Topaz, a Yellow Conjure Cat, and the last of his kind, vows on his oath to solve this dreadful mystery. Nevertheless, growing up in such peaceful times, Topaz has a limited knowledge of just how to use his conjure power to protect himself and the kingdom against the terrible dangers he knows lie ahead. Yet he's determined to do everything possible to find the missing children and put a stop to the evil villain that seeks to control Knownotten's future.… (mais)
