About the Author
Ted Fox is also the author of In the Groove, a collection of interviews with men who have shaped the music industry. He lives in upstate New York, where he produces and manages four-time Grammy nominee Buckwheat Zydeco.

Showtime at the Apollo : the epic tale of Harlem's… de Ted Fox
A very good overview of the Apollo Theater and how it influenced popular culture for decades, with just the right mix of cultural history, background about the stars who played the stage, and the business side of the theatre.
The artwork really leaves something to be desired and the narrative is confusing. DNF because I have a stack of less annoying books to read and this just isn't interesting enough. (Irrelevant side note: the blurbs on the back cover all relate to the Apollo itself and not the book onto which they have been emblazoned.)
