Blake Fontenay

This is an entertaining fictionalized account of politics in Memphis. The mayor is a BBQ restaurant owner who is as crooked as can be. He decides he wants to build a BBQ hall of fame for the city, so that he can profit from it with a number of side deals. At first I thought it was Memphis specific, but after thinking about it, it is likely how all city government's work. Bribes, payoffs, who benefits, who doesn't, and how these projects Never turn out or help those they were "supposed" to.
