Fun read

For those who enjoy goosebumps and tales of the crypt your likely to enjoy this as well. It’s a long read which makes it worth the kindle price in my opinion.

This reminded me an awful lot of the Goosebumps movie with Jack Black. Weird monsters, a mystery, sketchy teachers, lots of red herrings. Perfect for our 6th graders who want something scary without being too grown up.

Morton, James, Melissa, and their father have just moved into an old house in a new town, and when Morton finds a creepy gargoyle buried in the yard, he and his siblings each make a wish--and find out that they have unleashed chaos.
There is a follow up.

SCARE SCAPE is a low-stakes horror-themed novel, big on action but limited in its execution. Cute but not memorable.
