This is a book for owners of dogs or a lover of dog breeds that have a reputation for being stubborn. It primarily focuses on treat-based training with the idea that these dogs are trainable but are too independent for praise or personal harmony with their person to be the sole reward. Affirmative dog training for the curmudgeonly dog. Though I don't have a dog in that category right now, I appreciated the perspective and have kept this book for future reference.
