Pequena biografia
Adah Louise Sutton (her birth name) also wrote as Louise A. Field and Ada Sutton. Born to a minister and his wife in Brooklyn, New York, she graduated from Hintel College. In 1885, she married Arthur J. Saalfield, who became president of Saalfield Publishing, a large national publishing house based in Akron, Ohio, with whom she had five children. She became key to his early business success by writing popular stories that continued the beloved character of Peter Rabbit created by Beatrix Potter. She also wrote poetry and created her own children's books, such as A Little Maid in Toyland (1900), Seeds of April Sowing: Poems of Love and Sentiment (1902), and Sweeter Still Than This (1905). She became a well-known champion of the rights of working women and an anti-vivisectionist.
