The book really opens your eyes to how extensive sex trafficking is, and how the nations of the world are only now, after millennia, trying to address the problem. The other key issue in Farr's book is global patriarchy, it is always hard for me wrap my head around how extensive and all-consuming it is. Example of how patriarchy is atrocious: women and girls abducted, raped, and forced into prostitution are rejected by their families for bringing shame when they are at last able to gain freedom. She had no choice, yet she is the immoral one.
Aside from the eye-opening nature of the book, I do feel that Farr is incredibly repetitive in parts, which bogged down the reading, taking it longer to get through. Thus the reasoning behind my lower rating. But still, everyone should read it, especially those who know nothing on the subject.
