Pequena biografia: Barbara Faith was born on February 19, 1921 in Cleveland, Ohio. Married to the love of her life, former bullfighter Alfonso Covarrubias, on 11 November 1970. They later renewed their vows in Spain on 6 May 1983. She died on 10 October 1995, exactly one month before celebrating their 25th anniversary.

Barbara began work as a public relations person in Miami, Florida and later moved to Chula Vista, California. She later moved to San Miguel de Allende in Mexico .She published her first novel in 1978 for Silhouette Books. Most of her books are set in Mexico, Spain, USA or Morocco, and like her husband, many of the male protagonists of her books are Hispanic. In 1982, she won a RITA Award.

Midnight Man (Silhouette Intimate Moments No. 544) de Barbara Faith

In a previous sheik romance (Bedouin Bride, 1984), Faith had made the mistake of stating that it's the imam who does the call to prayer. In Midnight Man, she correctly refers to the caller as a muezzin (105).

There are occasional slip-ups and oddities though. For instance, Faith has the main characters quickly prepare "a simple meal of kuskus' while camping in the desert... but while couscous may be a simple ingredient, it isn't simple to cook. Unlike the five-minute American version, it's typically prepared with steam and can take hours to finish. Not really a quick, camp-out kind of a meal.… (mais)
