Pequena biografia
Allen Ellenzweig is an arts critic, cultural journalist and essayist with a specialty in photography; his book, The Homoerotic Photograph: Male Images from Durieu/Delacroix to Mapplethorpe, originally published by Columbia University Press in 1992, was reissued in a 2012 paperback edition. He is currently under contract to Oxford University Press for a biography of the 20th Century American gay cosmopolitan photographer George Platt Lynes (1907-1955).

I have published in both specialized and mass market journals and magazines (Art in America, The Village Voice, and American Photographer, among others). Most recently, I have written online cultural commentary for TABLET and film reviews for The Forward. I am a regular contributor to the Gay & Lesbian Review Worldwide. A few works of my short fiction have been published in print and online, including a chapter from my novel THE FRENCH PROFESSOR in the online Lodestar Quarterly.

Resenhas

A magisterial biography of a man and his age. The cultural history of art photography, literature, and the artistic vibe of the first half of the twentieth century. From the Paris of Stein and Toklas to the New York of Kirstein there is the fascination of literature, photography, art, and gay culture as seen through the life of Lynes and his intimates including Glenway Westcott and Monroe Wheeler.
