This work claims to be based on Bertrand Russell, and I can see Russell in the work. That said, this is a simplistic argument, made in very short, often one or two paragraph chapters, that touches the surface of an argument about morals without God. The author utilizes utilitarianism as his tool, and unintentionally exposes just how weak a point of view that is, and how many people are going to be harmed or oppressed by the idea of the most good to the most people. He himself recognizes that at times, and adds so many exceptions to his 'rule' that it becomes bulky and unworkable. Not particularly interesting, not particularly sound in logic, and not particularly well thought out.… (mais)
