Again, it is Robert Llewellyn's photographs that elevate this book above a normal nature book. But this still isn't as good as [b:Seeing Trees: Discover the Extraordinary Secrets of Everyday Trees|11249340|Seeing Trees Discover the Extraordinary Secrets of Everyday Trees|Nancy Ross Hugo|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1404579991s/11249340.jpg|16175762].

My only complaint is the book tries to be all things to all people with plants from every growing zone.

If I needed to choose just one word, it would be VOLUPTUOUS!

Mr. Llewellyn's photography is stellar, and makes the book. Unlike Seeing Trees, which celebrated only 10 tree species in depth, this is a more methodical survey of the main botanic families. Breathtakingly beautiful.

Wonderful images and ideas. Lovely, lovely. From the smallest coner of a porch to nice, generous buildings. Lots of charm.
