Alan Doyle is a Canadian musician and actor, best known as a lead singer in the Canadian folk-rock band Great Big Sea. In 2012, Doyle released his first solo album, Boy on Bridge, which made the top twenty on the Canadian Albums chart. His second solo album, So Lets Go, was released in 2015. A lovely read from one of the members of my favourite bands. Really liked how Alan took us on a journey across Canada, providing anecdotes along the way on the journey of GBS.

Where I Belong de Alan Doyle

I loved this book! I actually listened to the audiobook which I highly recommend so you can get the full effect of Alan's writing. This man is a natural storyteller and I could listen to him talk all day. I love hearing stories of small towns on the East Coast since that's where I'm from. It's always exciting to find the similarities between small communities and their way of living. I love how honest and humble Alan is and how proud he is of his roots. This book was very funny and very refreshing. Read it, you'll love it!… (mais)

All Together Now: A Newfoundlander's Light Tales for… de Alan Doyle

I loved this book!! I listened to the audiobook which was fantastic because Alan Doyle was the narrator. There's nothing better than the author reading the words they wrote. There were some very funny stories but underneath it all you can sense Alan's fierce pride in his province and country. I highly recommend!
