I had high hopes for this book but it got a bit repetitive and I started skimming toward the end. As others have noted, it was less a behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings of the White House than a tortured look at the author’s relationship woes and constant drunken sprees.
A complete millennial DC life experience, overall pretty good
There’s not a single time I see this title that I don’t get the 1973 song by The Hues Corporation stuck in my head. While wildly dated, I prefer the song to this book. Read my brief notes here.
