Elizabeth Gould Davis (1910–1974)

Wow! This book should be required reading. I was inspired at the start by how many female leaders were before Christianity. Some of the sources I feel I should double-check as there was controversy with this book when it came out but there are sources and quotes from scholars and archeologists. The print was so small I need to buy magnified "readers" to get through it but I really couldn't put it down. It will inspire you and make you mad. Reviewed by Leah Leach

This was a life-changing book for me. Written by a librarian who really did her research, Davis's main theory is that women have been left out and obscured in the histories written by men in a time of male dominance. Makes you wonder how much she was not able to discover due to destruction of the evidence.

Readit too long ago to give a review, but i remember liking it a great deal.
