Travel writer bragging about all the great travel he has undertaken over the years, and has a lot of first world problems (he complains that the toilet paper on the Orient Express isn't up to first-class standards). He also likes to let readers know he is a lover of all things Italian, so don't say you haven't been warned.

I really don't see any reason why you would want to read this; it's not horribly written but there's a lot of better books available on similar topics.

I read this on and off over a couple of months. Not that it wasn't interesting, it was a great little book, just very easy to pick up and put down, and that's exactly what I did with it. You name it, if it had any sort of significance it's in here.

Though this book is 17 years old and some of his experiences closer to 20 years old, I found it to still be a fairly relevant and interesting read. Especially since he was based in NY and I always like to hear what others think of my home city. I enjoyed this book, a much better balance of trying to understand the new and being confused by it than other books have managed.

I read this at the convention whilst waiting for people to arrive. It was a great read and I hope it finds a good new home
