Curiel provides us with Islamic history, Arab culture, explanations of how the Shriners grew out of Free Masonry, and much more. His intent is clearly to reduce our fear of Arab-Americans, who are mostly not Muslim, and Muslim-Americans, who are mostly not Arab.

His factual information seems accurate to me, but the book is intended to paint both Arabs and Muslims in the most favorable light possible. Many readers will see a need for a more balanced approach than this book presents.
