It all comes down to our personal expectations of a book, doesn't it?
Many erudite authors have written bookstores worth of volumes about this man, but very few have been brave enough to write a "Reader's Digest" study of him. We have two large bookcases to testify to this, but this is the one I would recommend to share with others because it would not cause them to give an eyeroll. This one has the research to back it up and is a good read for those beginning their Revolutionary War Reenacting ventures.
I requested and received an EARC from Sapere Books via NetGalley. Thank you!

A series of simple and easy vignettes, well-written, to invoke the curious. Easily read in just part of a day, but worth holding onto for future reference. Finished 29.05.2021.

This book covers bits and pieces of the history of the Natchez Trace, including information about the Natchez, Choctaw, and Chickasaw Indian nations who lived along the Trace, using it long before European-Americans did.

A chronological look at some of the entertaining happenings in the state of Washington. I would have liked to have seen a chapter on the diverting of the Green, White, and Black Rivers, but perhaps that's for another book.
