Thoughtful introduction raises a guide to the selection and cultivation of plants to a fine art. Having spent much of a week contemplating color intensities (International Klein Blue, for one) and the effects of light and shadow, this book resonated with me. I like to buy native species and was disappointed that the descriptions did not always specify origins and invasiveness but for the gardener desperate to find plants that will grow in those wooded areas that seem destined to remain bare, this is an informative and well-written starting point.… (mais)
