Alexander Hamiltom de Charles A. Conant
This is a short (145 page) biography by a great fan of Hamilton. It is extremely biased and almost fawning in its praise. Its redeeming feature is its concentration on Hamilton's role in finance and banking, and Conant includes many details in that area that are missing from more extensive biographies. He also provides some worthwhile details on the Federalist vs. Jeffersonian Republican struggles. If you are interested in those aspects it s a worthwhile read.
