Ray Comfort

A short and weak defense of Biblical claims supported by modern day science. Rather than a full-throated examination of Biblical claims aligning with modern science, the author too frequently refers of other apologetic authors claiming vindication. The books strongest points are scored when Ray Comfort quotes know scientists admitting to the wonder and complexity of the universe or life itself. Mr. Comfort really drops the ball, however, when he makes the argument that the "Big Bang Theory" fails the test of not spontaneously creating a Mercedes Benz left in a garage, claiming that if no Mercedes shows up in 250 million years, how could life have developed, completely missing the nearly perfect alignment of the "Big Bang" with Genesis, or how it was first proposed by a Belgian priest and cosmetologist, Father Georges Lemaître, the 1930s. Ergo: Let there be light and there was light!" Swing and a miss Mr. Comfort. 2.5 stars.… (mais)
