Jean-Pierre Cling

A thin book on the past and present South African economy. The overview of the history was of some interest to me, but the present day material was not to my tastes, with a substantial treatment of the economic commitments of the government but little treatment of the political realities that might force sticking to those plans, or retreating from them. (The author might claim that's not his jurisdiction, but get real; promised plans in the absence of enforcement are worthless.)
