Somehow I couldn't shake the creeping dread while reading this book: "Carrie Calf; Percy Pig; Henry Horse; yes, yes, I have eaten all of these!" Also Dana Duck is on the cover but not in the book, which is stupid, and it's kind of pushy putting the little handle on it like your kid is supposed to carry it everywhere like their favourite book is supposed to be fucking Farm Animals by Make Believe Ideas Inc.
Great New Zealand version of the Gingerbread Man with great vocabulary and retell at the end.
An exciting series of books to develop the confidence of young readers.
