Tom Chiarella writes for Esquire magazine. His work has appeared in Links, Washington Golf Monthly, The London Observer, and The New Yorker. He has won awards from the Golf Writer's Association of America and the National Endowment for the Arts and was a finalist for a National Magazine Award. Foley's Luck: Stories de Tom Chiarella
Tom Chiarella was one of my freshman English teachers, and I had an enormous crush on him, so perhaps I'm not the most objective reader. But I loved his story "Berard's Rapture," which was originally published in the New Yorker and is found in this collection.
