This book is so much fun! I still own it. I loved making our cloth napkins into fancy shapes, although I wasn't always the most talented at it. I need to go downstairs and dig it up again and try to impress my guests. I guess I just got lazy and bought napkin rings.

This was a good Christmas present for a very geeky girl (from her rather geeky parents)!

Man, I've tried to like this book, the recipes are so boring! My sister has a fancy-pants 4-qt French oven Le Creuset, and I thought this book would be a nice fit. Nope.

A lovely book with cheery Christmas illustrations. Some standard holiday favourites, as well as harder to find 'old fashioned' recipes such as Walnut meringue type cookies. I have bookmarked a few I am interested in making.

Cheese Soufflé, p.19, very good, detailed instructions, cook 26 minutes, yum.
