Edward Cavell

This is a pictorial history of the Banff-Jasper region of the Canadian Rockies. Much of the text and photos are sensationalized news articles from old news media articles written to increase tourism ah the expense of realistic descriptions of the people or the places.

Still, there is a good thread of the cultural and economic growth of the region and the sensational style of the news back then was part of that culture.

I believe this was a book of photos from another photographer, probably Canadian, inspired by Edward S. Curtis. He matched the photos with an anthology of quotations from travellers of the times on the Canadian prairies.
