This cookbook, from 1968, is a good example of Italian cookery before it was mutilated by current ideas of "healthy eating" with its emphasis on lots of carbs and low fat. This is many times superior to "re-vamped to be healthy" classics like the Silver Spoon cookbook, english edition, and shows Italian cookery at its best.
