Don G. Campbell

Author [[Don Campbell] is known for his books exploring the links between music and wellness. Perhaps his best known book on this subject is The Mozart Effect.

This audiobook has three different programs.

The first (and shortest) addresses healing with tones and vibrations.

The second addresses healing with ‘fine’ ie classical music.

The third is an introduction to Mozart and the ways Campbell believes that Mozart has created music that is perfectly healing.

I thought the material was interesting, although I believe that Campbell has been part of the pop psychology scene for so long that many of his ideas have become rather mainstream. There is not much in the way of scientific evidence for his conclusions, but his anecdotes are interesting.

It's not a bad introduction. Mostly I wish there had been more, especially in the first section about vibrations, since I am interested in the Tibetan singing bowls. 3.3 stars… (mais)

This delightful little hard cover book and it's accompanying music CD are a great way to reach past our vocal conditioning, and to truly find our voice and release our deep Divine creative energy from within. This exciting helper takes us through 5 segments of 3 steps each, that the author suggests be done over a 5 day period. This dynamic duo pack a one, two punch that is hard to beat. As a hummer, I find this topic fascinating and right on time.

I thought it was so cool how first I got the concept explained to me, then I was given an affirmation, and a beautifully structured mandala type picture to focus my energies. I enjoyed adding the designated track from the CD, it really contributed to bringing it all together. I felt a lot of internal emotional relief from following this simple program, and I would recommend it to anyone who feels drawn to toning as a way to connect to our truest self. Thanks Don, for giving my spirit wings.
