About the Author

Mark Buckingham is presently an artist on Marvel's Peter Parker, Spider-Man. Previously, he juggled his time among almost every book in DC Comics' Vertigo line (most notably on Sandman's sister Death) and Marvel's Dr. Strange, The Amazing Spider-Man, and Generation X. He is also renowned for his mostrar mais experimental artwork on Eclips Comics' Miracleman. "Bucky," as he is often known, is honorary chair of the Comic Creators Guild and co-organizer of the United Kingdom's National Comics Awards. Morte: O Alto Preço da Vida e O Grande Momento da Vida de Neil Gaiman

Terminei ontem (06/02/2007) de ler os dois livros da Morte de Gaiman. O q posso dizer, senão, q ele é fenomenal. A cada livro q passa eu me torno ainda mais sua fã!
Realmente a personagem q ele criou como irmã mais velha do Sonho (Sandman/Morpheus) e q aparentemente tem uma tarefa muito mais árdua que a dele é cheia de VIDA e bom HUMOR, um contraste óbvio para o que ela é na verdade. Ela é alegre, descolada, tem peixinhos de estimação, e se veste como roqueira. Para quem já leu alguma coisa sobre ela, isso não é nenhuma novidade, eu só estou repetindo o q escrevem no prefácio do livro!
Acho q deveria falar da sensação que senti qdo terminei de ler... Fiquei mais uma vez abismada com toda a verdade contida naquelas páginas; e satisfeita em ver como Gaiman consegue perceber os menores detalhes do ser humano, e os seus conflitos em relação a MORTE, pegar tudo isso e descrever de uma maneira maravilhosa em seus quadrinhos! Ele é mágico! Se vc chegar a ler, acredito q vai entender o q eu estou falando...

E nessa edição de luxo da Conrad, q traz os dois livros da Morte, traz um encarte ilustrado por Dave Mckean e escrito por Gaiman mesmo, dando informações importante sobre AIDS. E é nesse encarte que existe uma das maiores verdades que já li sobre a vida: "A vida é uma doença sexualmente transmissível e fatal"!
Dispensa explicações... Leia o livro, vale a pena!
