“To be honest this menopausal stories aren’t my thing. Again, the whole superhero theme was interesting and catchy but it couldn’t completely connect with the plot and the characters. The story wasn’t that long so it was easy to finish it. Again, it wasn’t a bad story but my tastes are something different.”

Read all my reviews on http://urlphantomhive.booklikes.com

I originally planned to write a short review for all of the stories, but in the end I lost my notes and some of the stories blended together in my head, therefore I will just in general review the anthology, but there will be short reviews for the first three stories.

After these first three, the rest of the collection followed the same paths. Some I liked, others less. I wasn't that impressed with Weeper of Blood, which for a lot of people seems to be the reason to read this anthology. I think it's probably because I haven't read anything else in the series. On the other hand, I did quite like the short story from the Tome of Bill even though I was unfamiliar with that series as well.

~ My Big Fat, Accidental Superheroine Wedding ~ 2.5 Stars

I don't know with this story. It felt like I had missed a lot of the story by not having read anything else from the series. Not sure this was the right story to start the collection with. It was a weird kind of bizarre story including multiple superheroes with superpowers differing in apparent usefulness and an Amish wedding.

~The World, My Enemy ~ 3.5 Stars

I was really looking forward to this story as I quite enjoyed Otto von Trapezoid last autumn. This story takes place when he's still living with his parents in Vienna. It's bizarre, sometimes too much so, but I liked it.

~ Summer of Lob ~ 2 Stars

I think this could have been a really nice short story, but I had a serious problem getting into the story. It was probably just me, but it was not for me at this time at least.

Book 3 of Menopausal Superheroes is as enjoyable to read as book 1, Samantha Bryant has brought to life wonderful characters that have special abilities yet they have all have issues that the everyday person can have. We also have love, anger, scared feelings, new villains, old villains and changes from people to the "Department " Be sure to read the books from the beginning because it's easy to get confused if you don't do that. I'd say this book is another 5 star book but I;d easy give it more than that… (mais)

This is book 2 of the Menopausal Superheroes and I'm having as much reading it as I was the first one. Two of Our heroines/ hero are now working for "The Department" learning how to be spies using their new abilities while the third takes off on her own not wanting to part of it.. The fourth has gone a power made by using her abilities defending her new friend ( actually a villain). We see how each person's life is changing due to all the changes going on from the first book. But also each are learning about themselves the things that now make them happy but yet also about things that make their life different. (and I'm not talking about their abilities) They are fighting the bad guys, ( kicking butt and taking names ) saving lives of those they care about and I'm ready for book three to see how things have changed in all ways for our superheros.… (mais)
