Pequena biografia
Sandra Brown is the author of over 70 published novels, including 57 New York Times bestsellers. She lives in Arlington Texas.
Sandra Lynn Brown, (born March 12, 1948) is an American bestselling author of romantic novels and thriller suspense novels. Brown has also published works under the pen names of Rachel Ryan, Laura Jordan, and Erin St. Claire.

Sandra Brown was born in Waco, Texas, and raised in Fort Worth. She majored in English at Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth, but left college in 1968 to marry her husband, Michael Brown, a former television news anchor and award-winning documentarian, for Dust to Dust. They have one son, Ryan.

After her marriage, Brown worked for KLTV in Tyler as a weathercaster, then returned to the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex area where she became a reporter for WFAA-TV's version of PM Magazine.

Brown started her writing career in 1981 after her husband dared her to. Since then, she has published nearly 70 novels and had more than 50 New York Times bestsellers. In 2008, she was presented with an honorary doctorate of humane letters from her alma mater, TCU.

Her novel French Silk was made into a movie, released in 1994, for television. Susan Lucci, Shari Belafonte, and Lee Horsley starred. In 2016, her novel White Hot was turned into a Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Original movie titled, Sandra Brown's White Hot.

In 2007, she contributed to Court TV's series Murder By The Book, about the murder of Betty Gore in Wylie, Texas, on June 13, 1980.

Her book Seeing Red was published on August 17, 2017.

In August 2018, her new book Tailspin published by Grand Central landed at #7 on The New York Times bestsellers list.

This was an uplifting story, which has been written many times over, about a woman who is able to escape a powerful, emotionally abusive husband and find true love, but it is also a crime novel with a few big surprises along the way. This is one of SB's older books- some dated material- but still a good read.

"Out of Nowhere" by Sandra Brown is a gripping tale of tragedy and resilience set against the backdrop of a Texas county fair. Children's book author Elle Portman and corporate consultant Calder Hudson are brought together by a horrifying shooting, sparking a quest for justice and an unexpected connection. Brown's masterful storytelling keeps readers on the edge of their seats with its fast-paced plot, well-developed characters, and thought-provoking themes of redemption and the human spirit.

Hello, Darkness was an engaging and exciting thriller which stars Paris Gibson and Dean Malloy. Paris is a former television reporter who became a radio personality while she was caring for her fiancé who was gravely injured in a car accident. He was mostly brain dead for the seven years she cared for him. He has recently passed away.

Dean Malloy was Paris's fiancé's best friend since their college days. After the accident, they lost track of each other primarily because Paris wanted it that way. Dean has been busy with his career as a psychologist and police officer. He has also been co-parenting with his ex-wife. Now his wife has remarried, and Dean has become the primary caretaker for his seventeen-year-old son Devin. He has also recently moved to Austin and taken his son with him. Devin isn't happy about the move and is rebelling and hanging out with unsuitable friends.

When Paris receives a threatening phone call while she is at work, she calls the police and goes to the police with a cassette of the call. She fears that the caller is not just venting but is really threatening the life of someone. The police sergeant calls in the new lieutenant who turns out to be Malloy. Now they are forced to confront each other and work together if they want to save the life of the missing woman.

There are lots of possibilities for the unknown caller including a sex addict, an ex-con, and still others. The story, published in 2003, talks about teenagers who are connecting for sex over the internet which also includes Dean's son Devin on the edge of that. It is also told from multiple viewpoints including that of the sex addict. The story didn't feel dated despite its age.

I liked that Paris and Dean were able to resolve their differences which were caused by guilt over their actions in the past. I thought the tension built nicely in the story. I'll admit that I was surprised by the villain of the story despite forming a poor opinion of him during the course of the story.
