Pequena biografia
Fanny Brawne met the poet John Keats in the summer of 1818. " Her family became his next door neighbors and she helped nurse him through his tuberculosis. The couple became engaged despite the opposition of Keats' friends. In 1820, Keats was advised by his doctors that he had to leave England for a warmer climate. He went to Rome and died there in February 1821. Fanny later married and had 3 children. He had ordered that her letters to him be destroyed, but she kept his. They caused a scandal when published during the Victorian era.

Resenhas

After seeing the movie, Bright Star, directed by Jane Campion, I was fascinated by the character of Fanny Brawne, and wondered how much liberty had been taken for the sake of making the movie dramatic. This collection of letters confirms what a spirited, opinionated person she was, how her love for Keats was true, and how she continued to be slightly tormented by Brown.
