About the Author
Todd Boss grew up on an eighty-acre cattle farm in central Wisconsin. His first collection, Yellowrocket, was a Midwest Booksellers' Choice Awards Honor Book. He lives in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Someday the plan of a town : poems de Todd Boss
Author Todd Boss traveled around the world housesitting, returning just before the COVID epidemic. He wrote the poems as souvenirs of the places he visited. A sense of place is more prominent in some poems than in others, and I tend to enjoy the ones with more of a sense of place or relationship to landscape, gardening, or everyday life more than others. Many poems tell the place which inspired them in italics at the end; others lack this notation, leaving the reader wanting to know. One wonders how he traveled the world failing to pick up any souvenirs other than his poems.… (mais)

Todd's a poet with an unmistakable, original voice. He's a lyricist and a sharp-eyed--even say hard-eyed, sometimes--observer of the most tender subjects. Not since Ted Roethke has the natural world had such a testifier. Gotta read this--
Beautiful collection of poetry, can't wait to read more by this author.
This book has been on my wish list for quite awhile. I read it within two days of receiving it. As the back cover says, Boss masters the internal rhyme, poem after poem. A keeper. A more-than-once read for sure.
