I love it when I find new authors. Having just finished the first book of this series I was quick to jump into this one. It was great but it wasn't as good as the first one. I missed the banter between the characters. It also helped that even though it was also an office romance that it was an enemy to lovers romance.
I did like how the author handled Aiden and his issue from war. I could completely understand his internal thoughts. I wanted more closure in regard to Chloe and her family.… (mais)

I enjoy it when a book can make me laugh out loud. This one did that in the first few moments. I enjoyed the characters and story. I did want more in regards to the person who was guilty of altering records and the repercussions. It seemed brushed over.

I reallyke how this author takes her time to develop her characters. They are authentic and real with just the right amount of vulnerability. I could personally relate to Emma. I understand feeling broken and not good enough. Trevor was so patient and I loved that he was a reminder to not judge a book by its cover. You never know what is under those suits.

This is how office romance should be. The writing was sublime, the chemistry was off the charts, the humor and snark were perfect. From the first page to the last I was immersed in the characters finding love.
