This novel made even more sense after reading The Dark Tower VII. I didn't like Insomnia at first, but once the Dark Tower was revealed more, I love it. ( )

Decent King book, i liked all the dark tower connections, and it had some deep characters with a nicely fleshed out atmosphere in the town it takes place in. But it had a lot of boring parts and got overly complex at times. ( )

I couldn't work the playaway and never got to read it. But the book must go back to the library.

I love this book for a lot of reasons. One is that it's the kind of big (in pages and ideas) King story that made me a fan of his in the first place. Another is that it returns to Derry, and I dig the references to It. Finally, the Crimson King and the Dark Tower. Whoa! Insomnia may fall short of King's best, most epic work, but it is still much beloved by me. ( )

Currently reading and about to finish this book. This is my 3rd King book. I was never a huge Stephen King fan but was pushed to read him by my bf who is a big fan. The book has a slow start and is fairly long, the story really does not start to pick up until the second half of the book, which has caused me to take long pausing in reading because I was loosing interest. However once you get through that rough patch, the book is very good and as always very well writen. ( )
