Now recognized as one of America's eminent architectural firms, Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer Associates first appeared on the scene in the late 1960's with a series of highly innovative designs that took the profession by storm. During the thirty years of HHPA's practice, the firm has maintained its spirit of collaboration and experimentation while expanding into larger-scale and more ambitious projects.

This second Rizzoli monograph on the firm's work spans the last five years, a period of prodigious growth for HHPA. Among the fifty projects presented with detailed descriptions and numerous illustrations are Windows on the World restaurant in the World Trade Center and Bryant Park in New York; the Cleveland Public Library; the Hawaii Theatre Center in Honolulu; the comprehensive development plan for the Warner Bros.
