The book has substantial moments of truth in it. But it also has New Age mumbo-jumbo and seems contrived, in that it dresses itself as a true story yet it is fiction. So I wonder if the insights mentioned aren't more the New Age movements catechism then anything really supernatural. The New Age has a incredible temptation to it in that it seems so right, but any movement that puts human advancement ahead of carrying your cross and following Jesus leaves me empty. ( )

I just recently read this book after skipping it during all the hype in the '90's. As is frequently the case, this book did not deserve all the positive press it received back then. ( )

I read this while traveling through Costa Rica...only fitting. There were times when I just slowed down and I swear I could make the colors brighter and see the energy between my pointer finger and thumb. It's one of those books that you just have to read and let your mind open up to the idea that there may be some truth to our human race not benefitting from our full potential.

Fantastic book! I lost my copy years ago and intend to buy a new one soon. This is a keeper to read again and again for years to come. ( )

A friend recommended this book to me saying it would open up my mind to the world. In fact it did.

Poorly written story but the more important spiritual sub text is very interesting to read about. Very thought provoking and makes you think differently about the world and our place in it. ( )
