I had greatly anticipated reading this series. This being the first one I read, it was good reading, but not a page turner in my "book." The storyline was good, but lacked interest for me. It dealt with 4 woman who use the Potluck Club to meet together and discuss life's problem's, with a nosey newspaper columnist listening in to all the details at a restaurant they frequent. I do recommend this book for some leisurely reading. I will probably try to read one more book in the series and see how that goes.

The potluck club is back. This is a group of women who get together for potlucks and share recipes and pray for each other. At least that is what they are supposed to do, but sometimes their meeting become gossip sessions, especially if Lisa LeAnn has her way. And there is a lot to gossip about including secrets from the past and romantic liasons. The activities of the Potluck Club are so intriguing that reporter Clay Davidson is always hot on their tail, trying to figure out their secrets, escpecially of Donna Vesey, who he thinks is quite attractive.
This was a fun read, especially with all the recipes included in the back--with comments from the characters. Some secrets are revealed and plotlines resolved, but not all, so if you get hooked on this series you will have to read the sequel! ( )
