I did really care for the stuff that happened in this story. It seemed pretty cliched all through. Like the author was just going through hitting all the regular MC stuff. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood . I didn't really like the hero and the law student heroine just loved everyone in the MC way too soon and bought in to the it's great we're all criminals and killers thing way too easily. It lacked solid motivations and any deeper characterization. Gotta be honest probably not going to try more in the series. ( )

Overall Dragon's Lair was a pretty good story. Set in an MC, it had the requisite bad boy hooking up with the girl next door, literally. It seemed, especially in the beginning of the story, there was a lot of narration telling about what was going on rather than allowing the reader to experience it. Also, there wasn't one central problem in the story that was resolved at the end, leaving the climax and the ending rather anticlimactic. Several story lines were also left unattended - Dax's mother; Dax's brother, Eric; Dax's ex-wife; and the rival MC just to name a few. Since this is the beginning of the series, I'm sure some of these will appear in later books, but the next book does not center around the two main characters of this book, Dax and Faye. It will be interesting to see how Fernando reconciles some of these plot elements in later books. ( )

When I first started it I wasn't sure I was going to like it but it got really good.
It builds a MC world, history, enemies.
Lots of other woman drama, club girl drama, jealousy, Ex drama.
No intimate scenes with anyone other than the Hero and heroine.
There are references to women the Hero has been with, nothing intimate, but some are still around as they are part of the club.
It was very funny in parts, the banter with the other club members.
Separation between their ONS and their reunion, he says he hasn't been with anyone else since he found out she was pregnant but obviously was after her.
Secondary characters for future books in series.
Some of the other men in the club are with different girls in this book so when they get their own books it may be that they as the Hero of their book are only intimate with their heroine but there are several occasions of small details of scenes in this one, Rake for example.

The Hero does say he has had his fun, doing what he wants but now he's ready to settle down and he has been faithful in a relationship in the past.

The Hero is seeking a divorce but it's not yet finalised. His wife cheated and since then he's slept around including being with the heroine. So technically he is cheating, as he's still married. ( )

If you like MC books, Dragon's Lair is the book for you!

The author did an awesome job creating a story about life in the biker world. She pulled reader's in with her captivating words and her sexy bikers. I devoured it one word at a time and in the end... I wanted a cut of my own.

This was a story about the MC Vice President having a one night stand with his childhood neighbor... He doesn't expect to get her pregnant, but when he does, he takes full responsibility and lays his life on the line to protect her. He has baggage and secrets though and is afraid of what Faye will think once they are revealed.

Faye was a firecracker... I loved her sass and the way she didn't take crap from the others at the club. She kept the guys in line and stood her ground when confronted by Dex's ex flings. I thought it was great how she connected with the guys... and I loved how Dex became jealous over it! The way he got aggressive and possessive was intense and let's just admit it, HOT!

I fell in love with Faye and Dex's romance. It wasn't easy and it wasn't always beautiful, but it was raw and real and sexy!

What made this story unique to me was the fact that we got the love story of Dex and Faye... and we also got Faye's story when it came to living at the club, interacting with the guys and ladies. I loved the bikers... Each one had their own personalities and each one was equally likeable. Tracker was my favorite, but Arrow... Vinnie... & Rake were all charming in their own ways. I definitely would love to read their stories.

Faye has everything in order. She has been in a relationship with her high school sweetheart for years, she is top of her class, and is quickly on her way to becoming a lawyer. Deciding that she deserves some fun too, she finds herself in the arms of her childhood crush, who also happens to be her ex-boyfriend's brother. One night changes everything and she finds herself homeless, scared, and in a world that she knows nothing about.

This is the first MC book I've read and I'm glad that I started with this one. I loved the author's writing style. The pacing was great and it kept me turning the pages. I felt for Faye as she struggles to fit into this new environment she's found herself in. The chemistry between Faye and Dex is thrilling and steamy. They balance each other out well. Dex gives Faye strength and protects her while she helps calm his temper and makes him a better man. If you love your men tattooed, clad in leather, and riding motorcycles, you should definitely check this one out.
