Sobre mimAlex Hutchinson was born and raised as a suburban gypsy in the towns of southeastern Massachusetts. He was a troubled child who grew into an adventurous adult. Alex has held 57 jobs in four states that allowed him to see the seedier side of suburbia. Along the way he has been a gang leader, a circus hand, a poet, martial artist, amateur boxer, publicist, backyard wrestler, a soldier, political activist and a novelist. His website is dedicated to guiding new writers on their career paths.
Sobre a minha bibliotecaI have been a dumpster diver for books since I was 21. Having grown up on a steady diet of comics, it was a big change for me to complete reading my first full length non-fiction. After that, I found the process to be addicting and indespensible. I have read over 900 books but sitting here listing them all does not sound like a alot of fun. Instead these are some of the ones that came more quickly to mind.

I recently became the chair of the Library Committee at the Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Pittsburgh. If you are ever in the mood to weed your library we'd like to have any of your items that might be of GLBT interest. We're looking for books, magazines, DVDs, CDs, directories, etc. If you send us duplicate items we'll put them in our book sale. We're also starting a lending collection of adult (XXX) DVDs and video. Send those to us if you are so inclined.
We'll reimburse you for your costs if you ship via US Mail. We'll also send you a letter acknowledging the value of your contribution for tax purposes.
Check out the GLCC Library here on LT and become a fan of the GLCC Library on FaceBook.
http://www.facebook.com/pages/GLCC-of-Pi...
I hope you'll consider donating to the GLCC Library of Pittsburgh.
Thanks.
Dan
PS
If you can't donate to us please donate to your local GLBT Library. I'm sure they need your help too.

We do not share any books so far, but that is probably because I have just startesd this thing, and my shelves are big and many.
Have a good read. See you.

We don't seem to have much in common - literature wise or in any other aspect.
So.....chyeah.
I accepted your friend's request anyhow.
Peace & God Bless,

I bet you have alot of great stories based on your life experiences.
I'm curious though, to know how you got to me and what is it about my profile or reading habits that have led you send the invitation. And if it's just a blanket invite to alot of random people, then please be honest about that.. i won't hold it against you. many an interesting and good friend has been made by random chance.

I don't think I know any suburban gypsies from southern Mass who are authors/poets.
Feel free to add me as an "interesting library."
Thanks,
me.

That was all after I took a good long look at the books in your library - (not just your tags). Somehow, (probably related to my being diagnosed with ADD/ADHD), in the process I stumbled across Stillness Speaks by Eckhart Tolle - for which I thank you in advance (I have yet to acquire the book).
So yes, I'll be your friend, because I sometimes regret turning down an invitation to run away with a circus from a friend/circus clown; I write a little poetry, I've been a political activist, and I'm working on writing a novel. I'm also 62 years old, straight and married forty years, and can't watch horror movies because they give me nightmares. I was a sleepwalker as a kid, and can definitely say I was disturbed.
From what I've seen of you, my new friend, you are way much smarter and braver than me, but friends don't have to be the same do they? I'm going to go back to revise my profile, and be a little bit braver.

Thanks for the invite, but I'm not quite sure why you friended me, unless it's for the same reasons as others noted above. We only share one book in common. What was it about my profile that interested you? Happy Holidays.

what's my guarantee? Read piece at Poetry Fool and suspect strongly it's not "unlike anything (I've) ever read" - and if it were, how would I recognize it as poetry? Originality per se not all it's cracked up to be. But congrats on putting stuff out in the world

Thanks. Sounds interesting. Do you have any poetry available to read online? (apologies if there's a blatantly obvious link on your homepage that I missed)
